Old West Christmas Light Fest

Enchanted Springs Ranch, on State Highway 46 just west of Boerne, is a replica Old West town with a main street, saloons and a chapel. For 15 nights before Christmas it is wrapped in lights, and you walk through it: light tunnels, falling snow, a Grinch room and campfires for s'mores.

More is included in the ticket than at most shows. Photos with Santa in the Six Gun Saloon are free, and so are the barrel train for small children, cookie decorating, ornament making, a scavenger hunt, live music and parking. Laser tag and the mechanical bull are $12 each, and food trucks and the saloons sell food, cocoa, beer and wine.

General admission is $25 from age 6, children 5 and under are free, and military and first responders pay $20. A family 5-pack works out to $20 a ticket, and a season pass is $37.50. The fest is open only on certain nights: November 27–29, December 4–6 and 11–13, then every night from December 18 to 23, 5–10 pm. The ranch says it is quieter right at 5 pm than later in the evening.
