G W Farms is a small grower run by Greg and Joyce Walkoviak on County Road 220 in Anderson, between Navasota and Huntsville. It opens on a handful of days from Thanksgiving weekend into mid-December, and they will open by appointment if you call. Along with trees, the farm sells local honey, pecans and eggs.
It is a long drive from central Houston, so it suits families on the north side heading toward College Station.
